Pueblan Milksnake Caresheet Available HERE

Native to Mexico and Southern Texas, where it can be found in dry arid habitats at elevations from 4900 feet to 5500 feet. Pueblan Milksnakes are moderatley sized snakes, hatchlings emerge from their eggs at around 7-8 inches and reach an adult length of approximately three foot.
They are perhaps the easiest of the "triangulum's" to care for, Although the young snakes can be somewhat nervous and aggressive, they calm down as they mature.

The color and pattern of Pueblan Milksnakes can be extremely variable and several phases are known in the hobby, as well as some adherent individuals appearing in clutches.

"Sock heads" with very wide white neck bands, were the first mutations to appear.

The orange phase has bands of black, orange, black then red. These are very popular because of there bright colours. Another phase in the hobby is the "Apricot" where the orange bands, yes you have guessed are a pale orange colour. " White " phase also named "Oreo" Pueblan's have very wide white bands and little red colouration.

A mutation coined "Halloween" is black & orange. Reverse Halloween Pueblan are bi-coloured having very wide black bands with thin orange bands.

The Unusual Pueblan at the right of this page looks similar to the "Halloween" phase mentioned above, but "Halloweens" usually have less red colouration, this specimen also exhibits some aberrancy in it's patterning.

Our Albino Pueblan's are a result of breeding the Albino gene from a Ruthvens Kingsnake into the species. They are georgeous looking snakes in shades of bright oranges, lemons and creams.
Other lines of Albino Pueblan have been bred using a Nelsons Milksnake to introduce the Albino gene.
Our breeding projects with the Albinos include using an orange phase Pueblan to intensify the colours, and also to increase the percentage of  "Pueblan" in the Albino.

The Pueblan Milksnake at the top left of this page is heterozygous for Albino, An Albino Ruthveni was one of the parents and the other was the Orange Pueblan pictured at the top right of the page. As you can see the heterozygous snake is much brighter, i hope that the "orange" with selective breeding will pass through to our Albinos making them more colourful and defined.
